Spring has returned to Red River the humming birds are out and we are ready to celebrate as only Red River does.
May 22,23,24,25,26,27 2013 Annual Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally. – Motorcyclists from around the country gather to ride through some spectacular scenery, enjoy camaraderie, check out the latest gear, show off their bikes and honor our nations veterans with a ride to Angel Fire and the Vietnam Memorial. There are contest for the best tattoos longest ponytails among other events. There is live music from morning into night.
May 31st through June 2nd The annual Classic Car show- a weekend of classic cars, poodle skirted girls, cake walk, bubble gum blowing competitions, sock hop and lots of eye candy for those who love seeing everything from 1940 fords to vintage and newer corvettes and muscle cars. You can view them at Brandenburg Park vote on your favorite in many categories.
This weekend is coincides with the annual town wide garage sale- stop by the Chamber of Commerce and pick up your map or cruise about town looking for deals.

June 7-8 2013 Blues and Brews Enjoy some fine music through out the day local and international performers, BBQ and brews many from microbreweries in New Mexico. Located at the base of the sliver chair lift – you can take a scenic chair lift ride up the mountain between sets. There is an entry fee for this event.
June 15-16 2013 Annual Fine Art and Wine Festival in Brandenburg Park free admission 21 and over can purchase a commemorative wine glass and taste some of New Mexico’s finest wines PLEASE BRING YOUR ID. Enjoy browsing the booths of several artists from pottery, sculpture, water and oil painting and photography. Face painting for the kids. Vote for your favorite artist. Enjoy live music. Call the Red River Chamber and purchase your ticket to the progressive dinner the trolley takes you to each location and will drop you off at your abode so you can enjoy wine at each course and have a chance to meet and know fellow wine and food enthusiasts.

July 4, 2013- Celebrate the 4th – Annual 4th of July parade. You can watch from curbside or sign up and participate even compete for prizes given for the most thematic, family reunion. Call or go on line redrivernewmex.com for details. The parade starts at 10 :00 am sharp many folks set up chairs early to claim their favorite viewing spot. All day long there are activities in the park and community house and throughout town. Towards dusk you might want to take in the fire works over the lake at Eagle Nest or spend the evening listening to live music thorough out town under the stars or take it inside and dance at the Bull ‘O The Woods, Motherlode, Lift House etc.
Quick Facts: Free Admission to Chamber events, sometimes seating is provided you can bring a camp chair, wear sunscreen, hat or umbrella while our average day time temp is 75 it can go higher especially in June when there are few afternoon showers to cool things down. Carry and drink plenty of water. All events have food vendors, and clothing there are retail stores and a grocery store within walking distance. The free trolley runs all summer long within town limits great way to save on gas and eliminates “I forgot where I parked the car” State law requires that everyone 21 years an older at an event that sells alcohol have a valid ID- drivers licenses etc.
