This three day event combines live music all weekend with Larry Joe Taylor & Friends, then multiple cook-offs in the park on Saturday 8/21, including the New Mexico State Green Chile Championship. Music venues all over town like the top of the mountain, along the Red River, Brandenburg Park, and the historic Motherlode Saloon.
Saturday’s cook-off consists of the following categories:
CASI “Red River Red” & NM State Green Chile Championship
Lone Star BBQ Society Cook-off
Salsa & Open (People’s Choice)
CASI, Green Chile, and LSBS winners will be determined by a panel of judges. All other categories will be judged by “Peoples Choice” ballots at the event. Click here for more information.

If you are a chili cook that uses propane, please read the New Mexico rules and regulations here. There will be a propane inspector on site Saturday morning to monitor propane use.
Vendors are welcome at the cook-off Saturday. Vendor space is $75 for a 10′ x 10′ booth. You must be selling chili, BBQ, chile, or a related product.
